Directors

Shawn Molner - President

Shawn Molner was born and raised in the interior of BC, living all up and down the Okanagan Valley before relocating to Chilliwack in the year 2000. He began his career in funeral service while living in Oliver in 1995, and has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1999. He is the location manager of one of the local funeral homes, and has had the privilege of assisting many area families over the years. Shawn was initially drawn to hospice while working as an apprentice funeral director in the Okanagan, and while he was unable to become involved with the society at that time, he saw the amazing things hospice did for families in need. When approached to become part of the Chilliwack Hospice Society Board, he was honoured to have the opportunity to contribute to this organization that does so much for the community. Shawn lives with his wife Nicolle, who is a nurse in Chilliwack, and their thirteen year old son Thomas in Ryder lake. They live a quiet life, and enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, reading and going out on day trips together. He loves living with and working with the families of Chilliwack and the surrounding areas.
